Hypor (Hendrix Genetics) requested HollandDoor to organize a study tour on Friday 21 November for a Chinese management delegation of New Hope Liuhe. The managers of New Hope Liuhe were primarily interested in various possibilities to organize the pork activities of their company. New Hope Liuhe is the largest animal husbandry company in China with more than 130 feed companies and more than 60 meat-processing plants.
After visiting Hypor in the morning the study tour started in the afternoon at VION Food Group in Boxtel. The VION Executive Board (CEO Mr. M. Herkemij and CFO Mr. J. Straathof) and several directors received the delegation (accompanied by president Mr. T. Hendrix of Hendrix Genetics) and presented the general VION organization and (pork) activities as well as their food safety precautions and systems. During the discussion comparisons were made between the different ways the meat chain is organized in China and the Netherlands.
From Boxtel the delegation travelled to Nuenen where Heydehoeve was visited. Mr. T. Schepers (CEO Heydehoeve) gave the delegation insight in the unique way Heydehoeve cooperation has organized its production, processing and marketing.
The New Hope Liuhe delegation was impressed by the visits and presentations and they were willing to facilitate VION and Heydehoeve with activities on the Chinese market.
